Introductions: New candles, coasters, notebooks, and wooden blocks in the shop this week.......AND
...a new furniture makeover coming later this afternoon! I know, I know....that was totally mean.....BUT, in all honesty we were painting fools last week and there are actually three pieces of furniture right on the cusp of being finished and photographed! It was one of those things where multiple processes were being completed on multiple pieces and it just made sense to wait and photograph them all at the same time. Since I have to clear the wall in the shop every time I photograph, I wanted to push through and complete as many pieces as possible and then photograph. I hope to have one of them up this afternoon.....and I broke out the turquoise again so I think you all will likey like.I am also really excited about two new shipments of product coming in this week! I will have a fresh shipment of candles including a brand new scent....vanilla bourbon amber! It smells wonderful. I get asked all the time "what smells so good in here?" and it makes me happy that friends are enjoying these candles and embracing them in their homes.I am also getting in a few new coaster designs....{one of them pictured above}, DEcomposition notebooks { the "DE" is intentional...I promise}, and these fantastic little bags of blocks. Love the little wooden houses so much!Stop by and shop this week Mon, Tues, Wed, and Fri 9 am - 2 pm ! New product will be out on Friday.....and I will see you later this afternoon for some furniture makeover time!xo,Barb
Etcetera: Makers Summit....was amazing!
Gorgeous photographs by Paige of Lightnest Collective
This time last weekend I was a nervous wreck as I was madly preparing my panel speech for the Makers Summit here in Greenville. Public speaking is not a strong point for me, and because of that, I spent several hours over the past few weeks getting speech coaching. It was the best decision I could have ever made...and helped me tremendously in overcoming my fear of public speaking. I highly recommend it! I still shook like a leaf while I was presenting, but having an outline and knowing what I was going to say made a huge difference in the way that I felt during the delivery! Remember one of my words for the year? COURAGE.I really can't say enough about this conference. I have spoken at, and attended conferences before....but this conference was different. It was the best conference I have ever attended and I have 5 pages of notes to prove it! The people, the discussions, the food, the packaging, the details, the everything... was done to perfection and I could not be more proud of my friends Erin, Elizabeth and Jen {who also run the Indie Craft Parade} for a job very well done. I am so glad to be a part of what these three talented gals do and am also very proud of it all happening right here in Greenville!I hope you all enjoy the photos! You can watch the awesome video here. Make plans to attend next year! You will not want to miss it....and it will sell out!Have a great weekend!xo,Barb
Found Goodness: Wallpaper feast

I am always on the lookout for wallpaper to line the drawers of my pieces with....and I had just informed my husband that not only did I need some fresh inspiration....but also my supply was getting low! So, when I spotted this lovely pile of rolls that were all 2.00 a roll...I swooped....and snap, crackle, pop! Yippee! My favorite .xo,Barb

Introductions: Lovely and low....a lady named Chelo

I have had the privilege of purchasing and performing makeovers on two of these little low chests, and I absolutely love them! This piece is low and short to the ground with the tiniest little feet....but the hidden beauty of this piece is that it is very deep and full of storage! This piece is the perfect alternative to those cheap tv stands you find in the big box stores. I find that a flat screen tv works perfectly on top of this type of piece. This piece could also be great in a mudroom, at the end of the bed, in the playroom, bedroom.....it's all good. The color is nice and neutral so that it will fit in anywhere you decide to put it.This is a custom milk paint color with four coats of polyurethane over the top for a nice polished finish. The knobs are a faceted blue and orange floral ceramic knob and the paper that lines the drawers......well, it is metallic gold snakeskin. So glamorous.... and the perfect juxtaposition for this eclectic piece."Chelo" is was available in the Knack shop as well as the Etsy shop....but was purchased and taken to her forever home on Saturday! Woot!xo,Barb

Well...we made it to the weekend! It is going to be a busy one around here! My friend Grace is flying in from New York and I will pick her up at the airport later this afternoon! YIPEE!
