I have a passion for wood, color, creative ideas, and originality......and I feel like these cross stitch necklace kits fit the bill completely! Introductions: Flukes and Spiky Flowers
Hello.....it's Monday morning and I am supposed to have a piece of furniture for you right? Well, I finished a fantastic green sideboard this past week......and with the whirlwind of getting the studio set up for First Friday's and many other things.....I FORGOT TO STYLE AND SHOOT THE AFTER SHOT before the owners came and picked it up!! Seriously.....I have serious remorse....serious. Blegh.So........instead, you have to look at pictures from around the showroom....including these fantastic new "flowers" that I found...and fell in love with. These bad boys are grown locally.......and I forgot the name of them.Forgot. Forgot. Forgot.This is the word of the day for today.Furniture coming soon......including a really awesome sitting chair.....and it is all me.....with mustard paint and masted ship fabric to boot!xo,Barb
Found Goodness: Tea Towels Abounding
I have a gorgeous new selection of tea towels in at the shop......hand picked exclusively for Knack by our friend Aaron while on his last trip to India. I gave him some money and a shopping list, and he was gracious enough to spend a day shopping with Knack in mind.......and I am totally digging his picks! There are some really great batik pillows as well......more on those to come!So excited about being open tomorrow night for a few hours {6-9 pm} to get my feet wet before the GRAND OPENING on October 19th! The mornings and evenings are getting cooler and cooler......the humidity is fading away......the sweaters and boots are coming out......the hot drinks are extra soothing these days......and the plaid and flannel shirts are making their move into my closet.This will be my winter staple this year: skinny jeans/chords > boots > flannel.Oh, and lots of bracelets.Rinse and Repeat.xo,Barb
Introductions: More Stripes, and another sneak peek at the Knack book
On Saturday morning, a very large padded envelope was delivered to the front porch, and when I saw the Chronicle Books label and felt the weight of the envelope I seriously had a moment of....really? is this my book? ...I was feeling up that package like it was a secret Christmas present under the tree....and then I tore it open......and guess what was inside?! Not the finished copy of my book, but the completed printed proof of my book! It is the final version....printed on the chosen paper......and soon thousands of them will be printed and bound! Woo hoo, I can't wait for that day! It is getting closer and closer! I stayed up late Saturday night and read the entire book from the very first page to the last page, {all 192 of them!} and when I got to the last page I finished with a great sense of " Whew, that was a lot of work and I am really proud of the finished product". I am so thankful to have worked with the best in the industry. I just thought you may want to catch a glimpse........I hope you enjoy :}
Also, this lovely little modern striped chest is another custom piece, and will be going home with the striped end tables from last week :} Aren't they a great trio? I am super excited with how these pieces turned out and the home that these guys get to live in is a super sweet and special one! I am so blessed with the best clients around! Love them.......and love what I get to do every day! So blessed beyond measure!
