FYI: Gigi has been sewing again = two more gingham aprons

The first batch of aprons went fast....and I am excited to announce that Gigi has made three more! A blue one, an orange one, and a burgundy red one!If you are from around these parts...the first thing I thought of when I saw the orange and burgundy together was Clemson and Carolina! These fans do not mess around, and are serious about their teams! So if you need a cute apron to wear to your next tailgating extravaganza.....Knack has got you covered .....or if you just need a cute smocked apron for anything....you know where to find one.
Pop in to the Knack shop, or for those of you out of town head to the online shop and purchase one here or here.

Introductions: A Little Black Chest with Papered Feet, Named "Belen"

When this piece came to me it had seen better days and needed some loving. It's ok....because that's what we do at Knack. There was already a pre existing "condition" of cream paint...and part of it had been stripped off and the rest left on.I made all of the necessary repairs which included two new drawer bottoms and a re nailing of the top......and then decided to paint the piece black over white and let all of the distressing and roughness play in to the character and design of the piece. Miss Belen has really plain and simple lines and I really wanted to give her some interest and pop.....so I papered her feet with hand made paper! It took a few hours to get the feet perfect....but it was worth every single second :}I love the finish on this piece......it reminds me of a starry night.....and then the brightly papered feet and painted drawer insides complete this little beauty perfectly. She'll be listed in the online shop later today.....or you can come by Knack from 9 am - 2 pm and see her in person!xo,Barb

Introductions: A new color, and a chest of drawers named Philomena
It is no secret that I love color...I make no apologies for that. It is also no secret that there is also a place in my heart for beautiful neutrals as well. However, mixing colors, styles and textures is my happy place!I have been looking for a new color to add to the Knack line, and I wanted something in the peacock blue family. Something that was much deeper than a turquoise and more of a jewel tone. Sometimes a dark turquoise can become timeless if paired with the right things....but a lighter turquoise {for me personally} always errs on the whimsical side.......so I wanted to move away from turquoise and move towards a more rich color. My thought as I approach new colors for my furniture line are: I want bold beautiful color that is timeless and can fit into most decor situations. This beautiful jewel toned blue is one of those colors that I see fitting very nicely into any aesthetic.I love the beautiful color mixed with the bare wooden knobs....a great juxtaposition for sure! Philomena is available for sale in the Knack store and will be in the online shop later this morning.xo,Barb
Etcetera: This week's work
I have been a little under the weather this week.....but have been trying to plug along....and I finally crashed today......it has been rough.Inspite of not feeling well......I am very thankful for another really successful and busy week at Knack! New furniture pieces were created and I am absolutely loving them! I have included a sneak peek of the newest collaboration piece by Annie Koelle and Knack!Hope you all have a great weekend!xo,Barb
