FYI

I have gotten some sweet notes over the past week from friends that I have yet to meet in person...but who I sure hope to meet one day so that I can hug their necks and thank them for being so awesome....

I just wanted all to know that your notes and love are pinned on the walls and bulletin boards of the studio so that I can read them and be reminded of great friends on a daily basis...

......this is what makes the studio truly colorful and beautiful to me.

{P.S. I had to include the last photo for my Gigi. It is my brand new Knack apron that she surprised me with at lunch a couple of weeks ago! Isn't it awesome?! The tag inside says "sewn with love" and then her name..... it is so special!}

FYI

Well....I must apologize for the late post today! Although the thought did cross my mind as I was writing this post...."hmmmm....maybe I should start a new trend in blogging....and post at the end of every day".....and that could be my great excuse for today's late post?! No? {wink!}

.....these gorgeous chairs are part of a dining room table and chairs custom job that I am working on right now for a local designer and her client. {will tell you more about them later!} I am hoping to have all of the chairs and the table finished by the end of the week so I can photograph them for you all and show you on Monday! I love the colors that were picked for this job and will reveal those as well!

...hope today has been a goody!

Introductions

This sweet little desk was such a treat to makeover! My client brought the desk down to the studio for me to start working on it...and as we were talking about the colors and design plan for the piece....she paused and said " I'm feeling a little embarassed about this piece! is it even worth it to do this? When we loaded it up, a drawer fell apart....etc." I assured her that even though it did not look like much and needed some wood filling, clamping, glue, and a few coats of paint....this is exactly why I do what I do......and love it so much.

It is this type of challenge that gets my creative juices flowing and makes me even more determined to bring new painting converts on board!

Seeing potential.

Etcetera

Well....I finally got them all spray painted, drainage holes drilled, rocks at the bottom, and planted with sweet little plants!! I have delivered about half of them to their intended recipients...and hopefully will get the rest delivered today and over the weekend!

I enjoyed making these as gifts for my friends.....and it was so fun to see their faces light up as I carried in their bright little flower garden :}
