Whew! It has been a busy, busy week around here creating some new furniture, taking on new custom projects.....and due to a certain sweet little addition to our family!! Most of you have probably already checked her out on the Knack facebook page......but if not, head over there to meet little miss "Roo"! We are a little puffy eyed due to lack of sleep.... and are making many potty trips outside....but Roo is a very sweet little puppy and we love her to pieces already.

Found goodness
Remember this post about my vintage wooden screw drivers that were under the tree for Christmas? Well, a couple weeks ago my dad came down to the studio to work on a piece of furniture for me, and he brought me some from his personal collection. I think they are so beautiful and love my new collection. I keep them all on display, and in this pretty white vessel.....because that's how we do it around here!

Meet Hortense.
She gave me a run for my money, and I had to pull out all of the tricks on her. I stripped, sanded, and primed.
But man, she is a looker now! Woot, whew!
I should have her up in the etsy shop by days end!

Found Goodness
The two pieces of furniture that I have been working on this week....making repairs, stripping, sanding.....the works.....have been two of the craziest pieces full of found goodness I have seen in a while! I have never seen so many scissors, rubber bands, nail files, rollers, pencils, costume jewelry, perfume.....etc!
This photo is what I saw when I opened the top drawer of the desk....and when I dumped it out it was amazing what I found. Then I opened up the bottom drawer and discovered that the previous owner had an obsession with scissors and the such.
I am working on getting a photograph of all the goodness I found....I want to lay it all out in groupings....you all will laugh your fannies off.
