I have been waiting for this day, and it is finally here! I now have the green light to let you all in on a few of the Knack book details! Woo hoo!
First of all, I am very happy to announce that the Knack book will be published by Chronicle Books! It is not only a huge dream come true to even be writing a book in the first place, but the fact that my favorite publisher will be handling it all is just thrilling for me. I am so honored to be working with Chronicle, and have learned so much through this fantastic process.
Second, the book will be about furniture...{surprise, surprise!}....lots and lots of furniture with plenty of beautiful photographs. Chronicle produces beautiful books, and I am super excited that a Knack book will be added to that list very soon.
Thirdly, the Knack book will release in Spring 2013!! The manuscript is complete, the photos will be complete in a couple weeks, and very soon I will start seeing layout and design for the book! It has been a lot of hard work.... overwhelming at times...as all huge projects can be......but it is all coming together beautifully, and I am so thankful!
Thank you to each and every one of you for your support of Knack, and for the time you take every week to leave encouragement and love for me! Thank you, thank you! .......and get ready for the goodness, because I have been working really hard to create something very special.

This beautiful piece of pinkness has been hiding out in my garage for a couple of years....yes, I said years.....and no, I do not know what I was thinking! The important thing is, that now this beautiful mantle has found her rightful place in the studio and will be a permanent fixture....... that you will be seeing a lot of.

My sweet friend Jennifer just got back from a trip to Australia...and while she was there, she spotted this beautiful magazine.....Frankie. Jen told me that as she started looking through it, I came to mind....so she brought a copy home for me, and dropped it off at the studio yesterday.
I loved it from first glance...and the paper....oh my word it is matte perfection, and the photographs and styling are gorgeous. It was super inspirational for me to leaf through, and I am so thankful yet again for the thoughtfulness of others. This week has been so full....so full....and I can't even begin to thank all of you for your support and love.

Found goodness
You all may remember Susan....my sweet blog friend who sent me the cutest painted furniture piece modeled after one of my pieces. Well, miss Susan is at it again! I received this amazing creature in the mail yesterday, to add to the first piece.....and on top of that she made me a shelving unit out of an old drawer to start placing my collection on. It is the cutest thing...oh my word....and when I get all of my furniture on it I will have to take a picture.....or maybe I'll immortalize it in the book? There is something so fantastic about a mini collection of painted pieces......hmmmmm...we'll see.

FYI
Some of you might remember that I had to say goodbye to my furry pal "lizzie" in September. I miss her, and I miss having a dog in the house.
My 13 year old daughter "B" is a huge animal lover, and she has just applied to volunteer at our local humane society. It is a beautiful, no kill shelter that we are really proud of.
So....... we have found ourselves "needing" to pop by there more often these days.....and whenever we are there, I always stop in to see all the babies......and this one almost came home with me.....but I am not sure I am ready yet.
.....i may go back and get her .....jury is still out.....
.....my husband says that the humane society is the most dangerous place for my daughter "B" and I to be....and he is totally right....we may end up bringing them all home :)

Introductions
It literally pains me to not be able to show you all the studio, and all of the goodness going on in there! It seems like no matter what angle I put on the camera....secrets are in every corner, and they must remain secret for a little while longer......
.....but I captured this shot of the new red wire chairs available at Knack, and the octagon shaped mirror that is back in stock as well......and that is all I can manage for now.
We are on the last big push for the book deadlines over these next two weeks, and that is why things are a bit different around the blog lately. However, over the weekend I secured some gorgeous pieces to start working on for Knack, and hope to have some new Introductions ready in a couple weeks!
