Introductions
I have been wanting one of these fellas for a while, and I finally decided it was time to make a purchase for the studio. This plant is called a stag fern, because when mounted on the wall it takes on the appearance of a deer head with antlers. Do you see it? The plant pod in the center looks like the head, and the foliage looks like a crazy gazillion point rack!
I need a name for this guy...as he will be a friend to " Morris " the moose. I have a few ideas already, but would love to hear what greatness you all come up with today!
Hope it is a great Monday for you all! I am gearing up for two photo shoots this week....so I'm off and running!

This morning I'm headed to ATL with my pal Lily, to hit up the market.....explore a new, exciting place called "the goat farm".....where there are over 300 artists studios {including some of my pals}....dance studios, galleries, and on top of all that, it really is an organic working farm!
I have been wanting to check it out from the moment I heard about it....so now is my chance! I also hope to hit up "sun in my belly", and grab a bite to eat....but I may be trying to fill a day with more than possible.....we'll see. I'm game.....but my body may tell me other wise! {wink!}
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
{update: pal is sick....headed down solo....but am excited to see what awaits me in this day!}

A day in the life....
I am going to change things up a bit for the next few weeks. I am spending every waking minute {and some "when I should be sleeping" moments} that I have on the book. My manuscript is due TOMORROW! I am so excited to have this huge, huge task completed and ready for turn in......now, let the editing marathon begin! {wink!}
I can't slow up after tomorrow though because all of my photographs are due February 1, and this is an even greater task. I will need to focus everything I have for the next three weeks on finishing, styling, photographing, documenting, labeling.....etc.
So I will try to keep things exciting and moving here with daily photographs and tidbits from the world of Knack. I am sorry that I don't have a new Introduction for you all today, but all the pieces I am cranking out at the moment are secret treasures that will be revealed in due time!
Have a great day, and enjoy this photo of my daily routine. Day 9 of my photo a day project.

Well, we made it to Friday! It has been a super busy week for me as my book manuscript is due in 4 days!! {oh. my. goodness. I can't believe it!} I have also been preparing for a photo shoot that will take place today, and another on Monday. The book is all consuming right now....as it should be..... and I just wish this sick feeling that I am going to forget something, leave something major out, or just plain flake ....would go away! I am so glad I am working with a fantastic publisher, and group of editors. They make me work extra hard, but it is all for the good!
I hope you all have a great weekend, and that it is filled with good things!
{p.s I just ordered the feather print above, because it is fabulous...and you may see it in the book as well. I'm hoping to channel some flight from these feathers today! hah! }

I eyed this sweet, wooden handled, vintage set of screw drivers for a couple months....and then I asked for them to be waiting for me under the Christmas tree { I know, I know....I can hear your snickers and hee haws!} and crossed my fingers.
Guess what? They were indeed under the tree, and dude.... I just love them! The wood handles are all so beautiful with their aged patinas, paint drops, and cut out details.
I took them down to the studio yesterday and hung them on the peg board with all the other tools......they are definitely the coolest tools in the studio right now.
Thank you honey!
Barb
