swirling and twirling....
Hello friends! Ready or not Monday is here....
I have to admit, it has been a super exciting couple of weeks at Knack, and I have really fun things to share with you ....Starting with a little house tour that I promised, new fresh pieces at the studio, and some super frabjous news....
Today I need to chill and let my swirly, twirly little mind rest, but I will be back on track tomorrow with miss "Elspeth"....you're going to love her in all her majestic blue tones!

this week at knack....
There has been a lot of color swirling around the studio, and I hope to debut at least one of these beauties next week! Did I mention that I am super excited about this collection?! I have enjoyed coming up with the design concepts for each piece. It has been a while since I have designed a cohesive collection. It feels frabjous!

meet athalie and aurelia...
These two lovely ladies are pieces that I did for my sweet friend "L".
It is really quite remarkable that I found one here locally, and then while visiting my brother in NC I found the matching piece! How fortuitous is that?
I enjoyed layering the paper on these drawer fronts with paint and stain to achieve a very unfussy, patchwork effect. It is a favorite of mine, that I need to do more often!

oh, and p.s.
....the porch party was just what the doctor ordered!
After a week of publishers calling, magazines scheduling, and furniture mounting....it was a night of nurturing friendships, many laughs, and a blazing fire.
My hair smelled like the outdoors/ fire when I got home :) I wish I could bottle that smell somehow.
