...I seem to have a knack for finding little fabric summer shoes....that I will wear almost every day if I can get away with it...and these are the ones for this summer......don't you love?...
.....believe it or not these were the flowers on the table at chik fil a..seriously...but what I totally love is the little curly que' antennae in the middle...look at the shadow too...isn't it creativity at it's best?...
....love this ....because I didn't know I had it, and found it in a cup this week:).....
....my birdhouse for the homes of hope auction......almost done.....almost...
....spotted these in my friend susan's booth at the screen door in asheville....and am kicking myself for not purchasing a couple......love them.....
....I hope you all had a great week, and were inspired by the little everyday things .....I know I am...... continually ....

mountain bliss.....
...I finally have some shots of the mountain house that I did several pieces for......
...although they are not all pictured here.......the big hutch with the white ironstone, and the number chairs are a couple of the pieces ......there are more shots that I hope to get of the bathroom sink fixture, the mirror, the master bed and armoire.....but the lighting was not cooperating.......
....hope you enjoy this glimpse......it was a super project that I was thrilled to be a part of....and I made sweet new friends in the process.......and that is the biggest success of this story my friends.....:)

summertime......
....as summer is fast approaching.....the hubs and I have been talking about how we would like to get outdoors a bit more this summer..... and to try and encourage that, we have a few things on our list....such as:
1. camping....{I would love it if we could start in the backyard...go ahead and laugh at my wimpy ness....it's ok!.....and oh how I wish the campsite would look as sweet as this! }...although I don't think the boys would have it!. { I just showed them and they busted out laughing!}...
....would that count as camping? hah.....baby steps my friends.....
2. purchasing a hammock for the back porch or the trees ..... reading, naps and chats would happen there.......
3. this is my big wish for the summer....a tandem cayak.......I'm dying to cruise the lake....like a boss...
4. and we'll finish it off with a fire pit for backyard fires and smores...I have had one of these on my list for the past three years......I think it is time to cross this one off the list......
...so we'll see what all transpires......but these are a few of the things we are aiming for....
..and then, we have our cross country trip in July where we will be hitting such places as san fran, the grand canyon and some of the dives on route 66........to name a few.....we can hardly wait for that.......

bathroom project....
.....two of the bathrooms in our house....... {the hall and the master} .......need some cosmetic love..... and have needed it for a while now, but I just keep putting it off...
.... trying to decide exactly what I want in there is hard.....but, I would love to transform the hall/guest bathroom .......and then the master bath as well......
....since these bathrooms were constructed in the 70's.....they are super tiny......and are full of mustard and avocado goodness...... I think a really bold graphic wallpaper would be wonderful like either of these two........

.....love these great dinner time accessories from paper source..... especially the funny face plate that encourages dinnertime fun by creating as many combinations of craziness as possible......and then the chalkboard place mats .......um... no brainers for me......:)
...on a side note....I will be in asheville today with the hubs checking out a new opportunity knack has been asked to be a part of...{hmmmmm......} ...looking forward to a great day with my crazy fun boy.....
