downtown greenville, falls park, & baseball........
Well, sorry for the bajillion photos! It was such a gorgeous day and I couldn't stop myself!
I have to say ...in my humble opinion....that I think we have one of the best downtowns I've ever been to, starting with the fabulous main street lined with shops and eateries .....tree lined streets that light up every night......then we mosey on down to falls park ... it is so gorgeous right now with all the spring flowers...and because of all the rain the falls are roaring and spray was flying...people were out enjoying the lushness......
and last but not least we have one of the most awesome baseball stadiums ...modeled after Fenway Park ....{since our team is the Boston Red Sox single A team}....... complete with a mini green monster! As a family there are many a hot summer nights that you can find us watchin' some baseball enjoying the fireworks afterwards and eating ice cream out of our little plastic baseball helmets...good times ahead friends...... good times.....xo
west greenville {where knack lives!}
Well, this is definitely one of my favorite areas of greenville for obvious reasons! It has such an urban, gritty and fresh aesthetic....it is the best! The other thing that is the best, is the pimento cheese sandwich on tomato bread from our new little cafe....coffee to a tea! I never liked pimento cheese before but I have had like 5 or 6 over the past couple of weeks! {Hee Hee} It is truly a new favorite lunch spot of mine.... and they have so many yummy pastries and cakes that are wheat and gluten free! I'm telling you ..I am very picky when it comes to healthy food...It better not taste like they skimped.....you know what I mean?.....and I have yet to sample anything there that tastes "healthy".
I have also included some of the art studios that are in the pendleton street arts district.... there is so much to see and experience... and of course I had to throw in a few little colorful tidbits like the newly painted bright red house and the bright yellow door ........ hope you all enjoy! xo
a different kind of inspiration......

because of rain here yesterday I didn't get the photos that I wanted for you guys {boo!} so........I was going to wait to post about this, but since it has to do with Greenville I thought I'd go ahead and spill the beans!
I started running when my little girl was about 6 months old {she is now 10} and I struggled at first, but then found my body's pace and really , really fell in love. I did a few small races and was hooked! Within my first year I had run a half marathon! I went on to run several halfers and then about 5 years ago I took the plunge and ran two 26ers! I aint gonna lie, it is hard....but nothing in the world like it! There really is a "runners high"...and I was in really great shape ......THEN.....
I got sidetracked! I got "too busy"......started my own company {knack}, kids, hubby, life ....and just kept making excuses for not having enough time or energy to run! During the past few years of excuse making and inconsistent running I have packed on a "few" extra LB's! I miss the health and shape I was in and am determined to get back.....SO.... I'm doing a little different "before and after" ...and yes there will be pictures at the end...{scary!}......
I signed up to run the Greenville Spinx half marathon on October 31 of this year! EEEK....I'm already nervous, but very excited and READY! You know what would be so cool? If any of you are runners, and like to travel to new , fun places to race...... COME JOIN ME! I think it would be AWESOMEl to have a bunch of bloggers who have never met, hook up at a race and run our little hearts out! Seriously..... xo
tour de g'ville
I want to introduce you all to my crib this week.......Greenville, SC.... I'm going to be shooting pictures of some of my favorite places and things around g'ville and give you a little taste of what it is like to live in this great city.......starting today....
I hope you all fall in love.........
Until tomorrow.....xo
spilling beauty

I have become totally and completely enraptured with the work and beauty of Jennifer Morris. I am so happy, happy that she left a comment on my blog one day......I followed the trail to her blog and as soon as her page pulled up I sharply inhaled and immediately felt like I had found a kindred spirit! It is totally obvious that she has a great eye for color, and the composition of her photos is perfection!
Jennifer's blog is absolutely wonderful.. the way she writes just completely draws me in with it's beauty ........I love a good positive read ......
Check out her shops here and here and her blog here....... I promise you'll get lost for a while!
Have an awesome Easter weekend friends! xo
so proud of this one......

I am beyond excited for Nguyen Le from knit knit {the fantastic creator of the knit power cords.....among many other things} for this very special feature on the Martha Stewart yarn show! How cool is that!
It's so fun to add that little tasty tidbit as I'm wrapping a power cord for someone....."you know she was just one the Martha show" and they look at me and say...."no way"... and I say "yes way, totally"...... and it just gets crazy after that!
I'm having fun today friends...... hope your day is full of light hearted goodness and happiness for the many good things we enjoy everyday! xo
chairies...kinda like fairies

seemed to flutter and flit in front of my camera lens over the past couple days as I was shooting things that inspire me.....these little beauties just speak volumes ....the shapes the colors and the personality each one portrays is just magical...... to me! xo
