dapper ink
Matt Moreau was the guest artist in our gallery for October and I just fell in love with one of his screen prints depicting the story of Jacob and Esau. Two brothers whose lifelong struggles together began in the womb. If you look closely at this picture you can see the two heads and the arms wrapped around each other in forgiveness when they were men....... but at the same time it is also a picture of them in the womb where the struggle began. Also at the bottom of the picture coming to the middle in the dark green is a symbol of a dove for the peace they found with each other later in life! I just love the thought and design greatness of all of the work Matt represented, but I hope to own this particular print someday soon:)
memories......

Found this photo in the archives yesterday!! It brought back some good memories and laughs!! I ran into mr "I can't believe it's not butter" in NYC at the hair show about five years ago .....thus the horrible short haircut I had just received by stage artists!! They were really into using these razors that were round and fit in the palm of your hand and they go to town on your hair like Edward Scissorhands ........ Literally!! Oh well ....good times :)
