paper cut

I received these wonderful paper cut images in my mail box (*edit ... my e-mail box! ) from San Francisco artist Tina Tarnoff! Each piece is hand drawn and then cut ( with surgical precision) to produce these interesting and unique works of art! I am starting to see these works pop up all over the place by all kinds of artists, and I really like them! Visit Tina at her etsy shop to view her full collection and for purchase options.

I had a happy "meeting " with the very talented artist Jen Garrido the other day when she emailed to ask a couple furniture questions! I checked out her website and her work , and immediately fell in love with her paintings! I love her style, and wanted to share! The photo with the painting inside the structure is a piece of Jens' done for Ready Made magazine !

modern twist

I am really loving these place mats, doilies, and "hide boxes" from modern twist! The place mats and doilies are all eco friendly, food safe, and hand silk screened on reusable silicone!! I think they may be showing up in the knack shop soon:)

Weekend read

I just read this book in a day!!:) Super easy read, and very encouraging and helpful for the small business owner in the indie craft industry!! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in growing your business. It is not overwhelming like most "start your own business" books, and it is so well done.

Had the best day at Flatiron Studios yesterday ........ Katie Runnels from the constant gatherer stopped by to bring some of her beautiful art and home accessories to knack! It was so very fun to meet face to face this wonderful friend who has supported all of us here at Flatiron so generously ! ( not to mention actually getting to sit down and ALL eat lunch together!! What a treat! ) Katie you're a gem, and I'm so glad our paths have crossed:) Looking forward to many good times to come!
