Art at the Capitol
I forgot about this!!...... When we were in DC , walking underground to tour the capitol building we passed this wall of art! It was so neat to see all of these artists from every state!! Each representative picks his/her favorite and has it displayed in the capitol gallery!! These particular artists were high school age!! I was really proud of the South Carolina girl.... hers is the green and yellow piece in the middle........

I just got my business cards , price tags, note cards and envelopes in the mail! I think they are fantastic!! Thanks so much to judith and her team at full circle press for such a beautiful job!!
Special things
This past week I got together with my best pal michelle taylor , owner and creative mind behind the brand blue moss. She made the most amazing necklace and hoodie for me!! Each one was so lovingly and expertly created I was just in awe! I felt like the most special friend in the world! Now, don't hate me because of my talented friend .... visit her etsy site and buy some goods for yourself!! Shine on miss superstar!! I love ya tons!!

Saw this photo on the de flittige blog and thought it was great! The walls and floor remind me of my studio:)
stack of draws and such
I am working on four pieces right now, and this is a stack of drawers that goes to one of them. I just liked the way they looked all lined up:) This piece is one of those pieces that once I started it , I couldn't quit tearing it apart!! It will be great in the end though!
I also have a photo here of some of Kyle's "canvases" ..... she uses fabric and creates her own canvas and then paints right on the fabric! This is why it is so fun to work in and amongst creative people every day, because you walk in and see stuff like this and get excited ! Kyle will have a blog and a website launch soon... I will be sure to let you all know because you will definitely want to keep up with her!!:)

I came across these delicate and very intricate wall tiles on etsy! They are made by heather knight of element clay studios located in Asheville,NC. Heather exhibits in several galleries,but the Gallery UP in Rock Hill, SC looks like a fun day trip!:)
