Succulent!

I wanted to let you all know that my friend Teresa of art and light has started a blog!! She will be updating it twice a week, with lots of info and goodies!
I came home to find this amazingly huge succulent waiting for me on my front porch from Miss T and the container is made from a recycled tire!! Isn't it fantastico??!!!

Katie Runnels

I met Katie aka "the constant gatherer" through blog land and what a happy meeting it was. I have enjoyed all the common ground we share, and getting to know someone as talented and well rounded as miss Katie!! Katie is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design and also the co founder of shop Scad where she served as art director (among many other things) from 2003-2006.Katie now lives in Columbia, SC (not far from me! When are we meeting for lunch?!)and operates her studio out of an early 1900's building in Newberry, SC. I just love her use of all different kinds of mediums to achieve absolutely great pieces of art! I love the re use and re invention of found objects to create something new and fresh and relevant for today! All of Katie's work can be viewed and purchased at her etsy shop, poppytalk handmade market,and shop SCAD! Everything this girl does is just DELIGHTFUL!! Have so much fun checking her out!
