It all started several years ago with my kitchen cabinets. Instead of spending thousands on a renovation, I chose to spend hours of blood, sweat, and tears on a transformation. I purchased a few cans of cream paint, some dark glaze, and went to town. As a result of this initial transformation, I discovered a passion for exploring paint and its many versatilities and endless opportunities. With years of experience under my belt, I am completely self taught in my trade, and my techniques are a direct result of practicing, exploring, and perfecting.

In 2007 I graduated from painting in my garage to a beautiful studio of my very own located in the Pendleton Street Arts District of Greenville, SC. I love my studio, and count it a privilege to design custom furniture for clients across the globe. Coming up with unique and specialized design plans for each individual client and piece of furniture truly brings me joy. I am thrilled to be doing every day what I love.

Knack is a working studio where I store, design, and produce all of my furniture pieces. At any given time you will find paint cans, sanding blocks, paint brushes, paper, hardware, and who knows what else decorating the space. I am happy to take visitors by appointment at the studio, and my finished work can be purchased online through my etsy shop or locally through Antiques on Augusta.

I was also a former contributor on Design Sponge , writing the Before and After Basics column. If you would like to learn more about my finishes and techniques please visit the link listed below.
